Well saw endo yesterday. Since my igf-1 was low and i suppressed GH on the OGTT he says I do not have acromegaly and that is that . I'm not entirely convinced given all my symptoms. He believes all my problems with joint pain and muscle pain come under rheumatology as he can find no endocrine issues. He ordered 16 blood tests yesterday which the rheumatologist has never requested  so hopes that this will shed some light on things. I just said I need a diagnosis as am really struggling now. He very much agreed with that and said I was right to stop the meds that were thrown at me last may as they'd made no difference. i asked then are my sweats, skin changes, etc purely coincidental He seems to think they are. So I guess i'll just run with this for a while and see what if anything shows up on these results. I'm so not convinced though so am not ruling out acro. Prior to weds I had it all mapped out in my head to ask for repeat tests and mri or second opinion but was so shattered plus he had another doc in with him that it threw me totally and I didn't stand my ground. Clearly they are going on the back of first set of results.  Will now just have to watch  and wait  I guesssee if any more changes occur. Might discuss with my GP see if they are satisfied with that or whether they'll refer me on fo a 2nd opinion. Think that's just wishful thinking. He also said i'm most definately diabetic which he was suspicious of when I initially told him. Least i'll still get my prescriptions free lol!

It\'s so annoying. I don\'t really know what to say. What are the 16 blood tests he ordered? If you are diabetic, does that not have an impact on your tests? Or is that only if you are insulin dependent? Oooh I am all confused.

All rheumy stuff like auto antibodies, anca, protien electrophoresis, dna screeen ......best google them lol. Apparently all other symptoms are coincidental to what\'s really going on with my body. Even another GP at practice thinks i\'m obsessing over acro and certainly don\'t look it. Getting boring now eh? x

But is it possible to grow extra tissue then without an increase in GH? This is what I want to know. I don\'t understand how it can be a conincidence that you have had an increase in shoe size or your hands getting bigger. Surely if this was the case from something like rhematoid arthritis then the whole nation would be constantly buying bigger size shoes and gloves and stuff like that... we KNOW that they are not so it is NOT normal!!!!! Grrrrr... of course we are obsessed, we feel bloody ill.... oh my God I am on a rant now LOL. xx
