I woke up sad this morning. It is a beautiful Spring day here in Illinois and the beginning of garage sale season. My sister who move to Texas got me hooked on these two or so years ago. She was so fun to go with. One thing I miss about being with her is her nature to be happy about small things.
And..I was sad as I got a Ad from a store here called Bergner's; they were starting their Black Friday sales yesterday and she had taught me how to really get some bargains. I am not a shopper. Again, I loved to watch how excited she would get at bargains!
Anyway, at 7 this morning, I thought I would text her and ask if she was up. As I was getting ready to do that (phone in hand) the phone rang. Of course, it was her and she was waiting for a garage sale to open up!
I am so happy for her move; yet the sadness overwhelms me at times. I have many friends and I love them, but being with my sister is different. We know what each other is going to say before we say it, we have many of the same tastes, we don't need to talk, we both like to create and can spend hrs. together without talking; or....talking a lot.
With the phone call this morning, I thought of how closely we must be connected. We are connected.
What brings me great joy also brings me great sadness...
:-( :-)
Will write more later..meeting a friend for breakfast.
Have a beautiful, blessed, Saturday!

I read somewhere that if we allow ourselves to love properly there will always be the risk of pain. This book that I read also said that is the reason some people don\'t choose to love but they will never have lived on a deeper level. There is a beauty in your love and sorrow here because she has not really gone away spiritually, just physically. I\'ve recently started to feel strange when Paul goes away to work (he can be gone for 2 weeks)and I didn\'t understand the feeling inside me...it was quite new and perculiar for me....of course it was saddest because I was missing him!

You know Rose, I think you are right. Over the years I have never allowed myself to love; or even knew how. After our big \'not speaking\' issue a few years ago and my sister saying horrific things to me, is when I realized she was acting out of hurt/woundedness and there was no need to be mad at her. Maybe then, love seeped in and that\'s why I miss her so very much. Thanks..u helped a lot. Still feel the \'sting\' of missing her. Went shopping yesterday and had to leave..
One more thing: It\'s not a love of wanting to control it\'s a love that just is! I feel it.
Thanks again Rosie!

She must miss you terribly as well! It\'s so difficult when loved ones are scattered in different places. I hope you are able to keep visiting her.
