As all of you know, I have been dealing with certain situation's in my life that have created a space of "loss" inside of me. My sister's move, my daughter's estrangement from me, my good friend not wanting to vacation together, etc. I have decided/chosen to start working shifting my perception to "what is the benefit in these situations instead of what I felt I have lost."
One of the biggest "benefits" I have noticed is the parallel of "loss" I always felt in my childhood. Loss everywhere. Once I made this connection, it's like it is released..something like that.
Another is...it has taken me to a deeper connection and willingness to Trust there is always a Bigger Picture in the works...even when we can't see. Faith: The assurance of things hoped for; the evidence of things NOT SEEN. It's like my cactus story I have shared... something is taking place (taking root) in the darkness and I can't see it's fruition yet.
Just read this and I like it.
True and real positive change can only come into my life from a position of acceptance. Whenever I am swamped in emotional turmoil (i.e., worry, despair, anger) it is because I have consciously or unconsciously (mostly unconsciously) made some troubling circumstance of my life unacceptable to me. Most importantly, I will not get the sufficient wisdom and courage to resolve my troubles until I first accept my troubling circumstance as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. What I resist always persists but what I accept I can change for the better.
Happy Saturday!

Happy Saturday Vicki. That\'s such a helpful and lovely journal to read. I\'m thinking of you Vicki and this period of time will change for you soon. Everything keeps changing xxx
Faith & impermanence, what a combination! The fear of the unknown is a lack of faith in getting our hopes met from the unknown future also. So if faith can\'t be trusted, how is it fear is chosen as a likely alternative. Be openhearted, and attract impermanence of things making us happy. Enjoy happiness when it comes, and disappointment when it comes too. Neither is permanent.
