Hello All~
I am headed to Chattanooga, Tn. tomorrow to visit my brother and his family. I am going to do a vow renewal for my brother and his wife; I am excited. Plus, I get to see my beautiful niece's and my sweet S-I-L.
My brother called last night and wanted to know if I would teach his Sunday School class (he's a Methodist Minister). I said "yes" and now I am having some doubt. I am working all day today and have no time to prepare anything. I just received a quote via e-mail a few minutes ago that said "if you speak from your heart, people will listen from theirs!" So, that what I am going to do. My central theme when sharing classes in my home is always about "Miracles happen in the Light" and we as humans have this innate Light within us. My belief is this is where healing takes place; this is where healing awareness comes from. However, the question is, are we spending any time allowing this Light to shine in us? Being I am in a Methodist Church surrounding, I think I will pose the question "what do you think Jesus meant when he said to his Disciples "you are the Light of the world" or "do not hide your light under a bushel?" I then will share how the Awareness of this Inner Light has changed my life and leave them with the thought "are they willing" to spend 5min. a day with this Light that lives within them...they can do as they wish the other 23hrs. and 55min. Anyway, something like that. Will have a lit candle and of course do a meditation and may have them individually light a candle off the Christ candle (Methodist, remember) to let them be reminded once again, this Light is always with them, in them. They cannot be outside this Light; only in their thinking.
I am nervous and excited at the same time. I think of that little girl from Oakford, Illinois (300 people) scared, frightened, abused, wounded, petrified, etc. and I am overwhelmed with joy! The Light is my friend, the Light is my healer, my restorer, my faith, my support, my constant companion. When I am in darkness the Light gives me Hope; and when I have Hope, there's NOTHING I can't do!
PRAYERS PLEASE!

I\'ll definitely send prayers your way. :)

Clearly your brother has faith in you to ask you to do this. And for good reason.

I think your presentation is absolutely wonderful. It is authentic and clearly heartfelt. I love the way you are presenting a spiritual truth that translates across all types of faith. The way you present this, it is a true human connection you are making with your audience in my opinion.

Please let us know how it turns out!

\"If you speak from your heart people will listen from theirs.\" I have found this to be true.

I also believe that people are longing for spiritual food and connection. You have that to offer.

Enjoy.

Hi Vicki,

I am also keeping you in my prayers. I do think that speaking from the heart will come across to others. :-) What you have described here sounds wonderful to me.

Hugs & Prayers,

By all means, trust YOUR light! I can see where you were processing the event from you mind for a moment, rather than your heart. The light is in your heart, proceed from there and trust that is what had the Universe send you there for Sunday.
