Missing you

Kenny, this week I am making every effort to do something special
every day. What was special doing things with you,and doing things
alone are completely different. Having you in my life, we made every
day special for each other, and for others as well. We made a effort
to make someone's life easier, rather it would be a widow that
needed help, or another person that had cancer. We both were
given a gift from God to love and do our best to take care of others.
My mom's neighborhood only has 35 homes, and 21 homes are
widows living there. They would have a commode running, a light
bulb to be changed, a board to be nailed down in the attic, a
curtain to be hung, etc. And you were always there to help them.
You were getting ready to make up fliers to put around the neighborhood,
to offer your help with painting there mailboxes, cooking special meals, etc.

Now I have all kind of things breaking, and no one here  to help me.
But you know that is okay. I still have a roof over my head, food in the
refrigerator, even if I don't know how to cook it like you did, a car, even
if I can't hardly afford to put gas in it anymore. It could be a lot worse.
So, I count my blessings every day.
You touched so many Kenny, just for being
there when anyone needed you. I was blessed to have such a wonderful
man in my life, that I could call this man my husband. Thank you Kenny
for touching so many people's lives with your kindness and your love
to others. You were a Chef, and you cooked for so many that were sick.
And you cooked for me and our family and made so many days and holidays
extra special for so many. I have been blessed with having you for my
husband, and I thank God everyday for giving me the opportunity to
be able to share my happiness with others. I know you would be proud
of me today, knowing that I am trying really hard to help myself and others
here on this website Daily Strength. You always believed in me,even when
no one else did. Thank you for making me a stronger person, all because
you loved me. I look forward to the day that we can be together again.
But for now as you know, I have to be strong for my mother, and my
family, had it not been for you , I doubt if I could say that now.
I pray for you every day. I still get so lost and depressed almost every day, but
everyone says this is normal,so I am sure it is. I will be stronger in time.
I know we will be together again one day.
I love you more than anything Kenny,
Your Girl Forever,
Dee Dee

What a beautiful tribite to an outstanding man my friend. He molded you as you said, and what a beautiful mold that is. With everything you do now, you are living his legacy that he left for you, and you do it so well!!!

It\'s so nice to be able to see how we were all gifted with such beautiful souls and that we can touch people in their honor each ane everyday. Pay it forward is my motto, and I can see that you motto is the same. And you are doing it so very well my friend!

Dee Dee, What a guy Kenny is! I\'m so glad you have had that love in your life. My Joe was also the chef in the family and how that is missed. I like your plan to do something special every day. I always do much better to take one day at a time. My goal is to say something encouraging to someone everyday, and then broaden it to say something encouraging to every person I speak with. I\'m working on it. You\'ve got a good jump start with the foundation you and Kenny laid down. Thanks for sharing your life with us. peace. Darleen
