I'm sitting here waiting in the docs office to see if I'm SVR. I'm not too nervous. Shouldn't have to wait too long. It's not crowded. I'm called back. Weight is 224 Blood pressure is 115 over 75. Waiting again. What do they do when you're waiting? I don't know. My GP doubled my dose of Lyrica so my feet are feeling a little better. They swell when I walk. The more I walk the more it hurts. I ride my bike for exercise. I'm riding less now it's around 110 degrees most days in the desert. Waiting, waiting. What will it be? SVR or not? ........................................................................................................................... Hurry up already!!! ........................Doc says I'm at 600,000 and he's sending me down to the liver clinic to see about new meds. Liver numbers are up. Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, etc. Well gang, I'm still in the party. See you later.

Wes, I was glad to see you were here but not glad to read your results. I am so sorry to hear this. You just never know do you, which one of us will be SVR and which of us won\'t. My suggestion, go about living your life the best you can and try not to worry. And if the miracle drugs appear, you can decide then. Nice to see you again Wes. (((HUG)))

Not familiar with SVR, sorry.

I hope that you can revive your liver. Have you tried milk thistle? It is herbal and can be taken with prescription meds. Milk thistle is prescribed in many European countries where they are more serious about standardizing and scientifically testing herbal remedies.

Other than that, keep exercising! It is the best thing to get your body working right, keeps your weight down, BP and heart rate normal, builds muscle and bone, and rejuvenates the organs, promoting cellular turnover. It also helps you sleep better.

I don\'t blame you for not exercising outside in extreme heat--- that can be extremely dangerous. Can you get a gently used treadmill or stationary bike? (\"Recombinant\" bikes are easier on the back. Those are the ones where you are sitting with the legs forward.) Another option is swimming or walking in the water, aqua tai chi, aqua aerobics, any movement in water is easy on the joints and good exercise. You can also do some yoga stretches to stay limber.

I hope you get some good news and make a good recovery soon. I know that this has been a long journey for you, and it is complicated... once one part of the body goes awry it wants to \"recruit\" other parts of the body to do wrong as well, like some crazed gang leader.

Good luck to you!

SVR is Sustained Viral Response. A hopeful goal for all of us who complete tx.
I have a recumbent bike in the garage (it\'s like an oven out there. I\'ve taken milk thistle before. No change.

Wes, I\'m very sorry for your news. :( There have been such great strides taken with the new meds and that is a GREAT thing, but I\'m very sorry that you have to deal with it again.

By the way, I have a recumbent bike too...I love it. I have my regular bike too but I use the recumbent as a nice switch off. Keep peddling my friend.
