Update

Today I am still very tired. Doc says I'm not anemic enough to treat. My wife came home with a watermelon and I carried it in and was immediately out of breath. He wants to check my thyroid. Anybody have thyroid problems with Pegasys and Ribavarin?

I have heard that thyroid problems are common with tx - BUT - having very low energy and shortness of breath is a very common side effect - certainly my biggest side. Some days its hard to get up and move. My blood counts are low and but not low enough to treat. The heat will also sap your energy very quickly. I would follow up with the thyroid, but know that what you are feeling is very common.

Thanks ncRobin for your comment. It makes me feel better. I know what you mean about the heat, specially here in Arizona.

There are some who had thyroid issues on TX. Feeling exhausted & out of breath is common with tx, has to do with falling blood counts. Fortunately I m getting procrit.

My blood counts are being checked weekly........ Not low enough to treat either.
But out of breath is so common, something to get used to.
Waiting is the hardest but sounds like they are keeping an eye you. Take care.
