Update

Things went well yesterday.  I feel the meeting was productive.  The dr. asked me a series of questions about my behaviors, activities, and assorted other things since we last met back in January of 08.  He also wanted names and numbers of people I worked with this summer and that of my sponsor.  I am not going to get overly optimistic.  I know any time I put my faith in people I am let down which in turn leads to resentments.  If he is able to help me see my children than great.  If not, I will continue to work the program and work on imporving myself.  I am still cleaning my side of the street and I am going to keep up the street cleaning if it takes the rest of my natural life.  God's plan is a glorius one and I am only a tool for him to use to accomplish that plan.  Life is new again.  The school year has started off rather in a lack luster state.  This is actually a welcome sight considering the storms of the past.  I am going to stay on an even keel and take things one day at a time.  I want to thank all who have and are praying for me.

one day at a time - things will happen in God\'s time which is a hard thing for us to understand - God doesn\'t have a 24 hour clock like we do and patience is something very few of us have - that\'s been one of the HARDEST things i\'ve had to learn is patience. The way i started training myself in patience is with \"praise lights\" what is that you ask - well when i get to a stop light, instead of getting frustrated as we all do in traffic in such, i take the time to PRAISE God - not PRAY to God and before I know it the light is green - this has grown to teach me patience - it\'s something i came up on my own when i learned in anger management classes that i was NOT a patient person at all. Road rage and driving has never been issues for me, but i thought lights are a short time period anyway - taught me to STOP and praise and for me it\'s worked on learning to have patience for GOD\'S TIME - and helped me learn about God\'s time being different from my time. Keeping you in my prayers.

Joe ~ You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I am glad that you are feeling fairly positive about how your appointment went yesterday. And I guess for people like us living in a state of \"non-drama\" is unusual, but good!

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I will continue to hope for a positive outcome for you!
