I just went and saw my dr he told me that i was binge drinking and that he cant stop me going out drinking (no shit!) he said he thinks i should go back on the anti depressants (escitalopram) i politely declined.
Im going to go cold turkey now with or without support, i managed 41 days before so im gonna aim to beat that and take it from there.
I just have to look for alternatives for anxiety, does anyone know any good ones?
I spend like 300 a month on drink so finacially ill be rollin in it,
Hows everybody keeping?

Hi. This is the first time I\'ve sent a comment....But it sounds like you are having a hard time. This may sound like a waste of time, however I think you should try it....I have been using relaxation CD\'s and hypnotism for my pain. I was really sceptical at first, but it helps. It can be used for all kinds of things, including anxiety. My husband was just told he is bipolar and he drinks too (bad combo). Which is probably what made me reach out to you. Good luck. -Carrie
Have you considered AA? I know some people are leary about it if they\'re not religious but it is, at the very least, a good way to meet people with the same goal you have. Just a thought. I\'ve had problems with alcohol abuse on and off. It\'s hard going it alone if you don\'t have friends to stay sober with.
Hi Richie, I am along time AA person. And I started young. I have to tell you it ISNT religious. The first step says \"GOD\" in it. But its a higher power. Alot of people who go, dont have god in their lives, so they choose a different higher power to depend on. (A tree, a pet, a lamp post, whatever u want). Otherwise aa is so much fun. You meet really cool people who either are where you are at, or they have some time sober, anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 yeasr and more. Some people come in drunk! But you really like the people, you start to rely on the meetings for your daily peace, and u begin to look forward to them. Once you go for a couple times, you will love it! You dont HAVE to speak ever. And it really helps keep you from taking that first drink. I think you should try it. All the rumors, thoughts and ideas of AA are wrong. U will know when u get there. So think about it. Its VERY HARD to do it alone. Good Luck with whatever u choose. Your life will get better once u quit!
how do i find out about AA meetings i dont think my doctor wants to know!
