Feeling pretty down. Don't seem to get many peaks in my rollercoaster...Sustained an injury this past weekend with no idea how long I'll be out of commission. Could be a couple weeks, could be longer. It's not exactly what I need right now... The affair that brought me here happened shortly after having knee surgery. During that time I was having a very rough time strengthening my knee back up. I couldn't do anything I really enjoyed. Also couldn't go running with my wife, something she's really into. Then she ends up having an affair w/someone she COULD go running with and play sports with. I felt completely imasculated. I will always remember the way that felt. No matter what I do to better myself I'll always be working against that ghost. This is just the worst thing that can happen... I need something good to happen for me for once... way too many downturns... She'll say she's there for me just like she pretended to be there when I was out w/the knee. I've started eating unhealthy... it's just no use to keep trying... I'll never get an edge.

I am so sorry for your pain. I know how it feels to have someone you love turn to someone else. It sucks. Stay strong and don\'t blame yourself. Give yourself a break about eating unhealthy. When your heart is broken it is hard enough just to survive. One day at a time my friend. Time heals.
Janee is so right. Take your time to heal. Suffering from your wife\'s infidelity is tough enough--toss an injury or illness on top of that and you\'re looking at major stress.
You will find yourself again. Take each day one at a time--try to find some good in each day. We\'re here for you. Hugs!
if she cheats again, there\'s nothing you or anyone else can do to stop her. you have to know that, accept that, and begin focussing on yourself. you and i are so alike. have you ever talked to your dr. about depression. you may want to consider medication to help, I recently started taking an anti depressent and it\'s making a huge difference in me. Instead of totally focussing on my Hs A 24/7, I\'m focussing more on me.... which I think helps the marriage a lot!
Thanks for the encouragments. I\'m not sure I can give myself a break for recent eating habits. It\'s a downward spiral of feeling depressed so I eat, then I feel depressed because I ate. OM was a much more athletic, better looking person than I. I now know how shallow my wife really is and so its created this image that I feel I have to live up to.
I realize this has become a sickness for me. I have seen a Dr about it and I was on medication for a while. It didn\'t seem to do much for me so he upped the dose. Still nothing. I\'ve also tried natural herbs rumored to help your mood. Hate to say it but alcohol is about the only thing that has numbed some feelings. I understand the danger in that and I also know how short that window of bliss is. Being a depressant it only serves to make me feel worse once that window is gone.
Wow... I\'m starting to think that I am really messed up...
You\'re not messed up, Built. You\'re just in a dark place right now.... I know how you feel. I wish you would reconsider the meds. It takes a while for them to start working.....
How are things with W now? Do you two talk, is she being transparent? Is she doing everything to make you feel better?
You\'ve got to start focussing on you and stop comparing yourself to OM. You\'re so much better than that! You\'re not going to get anywhere drinking, just more and more depressed! You need to stop and think about your girls....
I\'m not trying to come down on you, I\'m just worried about you and want to help you get out of the funk.
Thanks, I\'ll try.
Damn, that\'s sad. You get hurt and instead of offering comfort and support she finds another guy? Your wife should stand by you.....thick or thin, better or worse. She\'s pathetic. I hate to be so blunt, but you\'re better off without her!
I really appreciate you guys being there... its been a while since I\'ve looked at these entries...
