Today is April 19th and I'm celebrating another day of feeling good. I have a doctors appt. today at 2pm. I know she'll be happy with the way my stoma looks (so am I) and assume she'll be taking out my stitches today.
I think Positive thinking helps a lot in the healing process. I'm willing myself to get better because I have tickets to see Diana Ross on the 30th and nothing will stop me from seeing her. It's great to look forward to things and each day that passes has me look to the future (Sept) when I'm reconnected and back to my old self.

I went to the doctor yesterday for my last check up until August and all is great. I\'m scheduled for a colonoscopy in August and if everything checks out ok I go for my final surgery in September and say good-bye to my colostomy bag.
To date, I\'ve gained back 10 pounds of the 22 pounds I had lost. I must admit I\'m loving my 28\" waist LOL. My goal is to wear my hip hugger leather pants again :) Hey, at my age to feel young again is a wonderful feeling. This entire ordeal in the beginning made me feel like an 80 year old; not a feeling I liked at all.
I continue to follow my diet, but do cheat on occasion and I plan on staying on the high fiber diet from now on. I never want to go through this again.
Hope all of you are doing great; you are always in my thoughts.
