10 Days Later

Dear Journal- It's been 10 days since I've received the news of Hep C. I have to say I'm starting to feel like the normal Lisa. I spent most of the day  today living without constantly thinking about this dreadful virus in my body. I don't think I'll ever go a complete day without thinking of it, but at least part of the day.  I am so Thankful that I did not learn of this disease 10 years ago. I'm not sure I would of been able to handle as well as I am now. I have awonderful husband, wonderful job and a great home. Like my husband said today, my platform could not be any better, I have the most ideal situation to support me in this upcoming battle I may be faced with. I've decided I think that if my biopsy or fibrosure blood test comes back at a stage 1 or better, I may try to wing it on my own with nutrition and diet to see if I can maintain my current level of health. Otherwise if I am worse than a stage 1, I really must be responsible and do the treatment. I am not looking forward to that. I have been such a healthly person all these years. The thought of having the flu for a year just doesn't sound appealing to me. Oh well too early in the game to start stressing about that.  Today was a decent day, I went to the Massage Therapy clinic and had one of the students work on me. OMG!! She was awesome!! I love having massages and have gone to some swanky places, I have to say  this student was right up there with the best. She certainly has a bright future ahead of her.  I'm a little bit irritated.. I woke up last week with one of my eyelids having this crusty, flakly  redness on it. It's progressivly gotten worse. This morning I woke up and my eyes looked like they were glue shut. And talk about swollen!! I looked like I had been crying all night long!! What the heck!! My face is feels really tight and dry also. I have been drinking a ton of water and have not used any new creams on my eyes or face. There can't be a relation to Hep C? Could it be all the vitamins I'm taking? Doesn't make sense, I should look better not worse. The only thing I can think of is the toxins in body are all coming out possibly?? I think I'm just being put to the test. Let's see how much Lisa can take before she cracks!!  LOL!!  Well I should go outside with my hubby and put some pots of flowers together. Talk to you soon my friend.  Monday is the day I meet the specialist.. More to come on that.

Hey, Lisa. Isn\'t it great to get past that original immense saddness? It wasn\'t easy, but we can all get on track. I\'m debating going the herbal way myself. My biopsy is this thursday, so that will tell the tale. Maybe we can compare notes as we go on.
