10/10/12 31w5d preggers!
So not much longer till baby Aydan will be here :D so excited. Had my baby shower over the weekend and got lots of cute things. I got just about everything I need for the baby except the bigger bottles of johnson and johnson products (shampoo, lotion, etc) cause all I got at the baby shower were 2 boxes of the travel size kits. And then also some vaseline for his lil wee wee when he gets circumcised, and the head support thingy for his car seat so his head won't be flopping around everywhere!
Went to the baby doctor today for a regular checkup. I told the doctor that for the past 3 days the baby hasn't moved very much. Only about 3 times a day. He told me that anytime that was to happen to come in and get the baby checked out He said that he wants me to be safe than sorry and that he would never turn me down if I called with a concern. He says that another doctor at a clinic had a patient call in cause she wasn't feeling her baby move. He told her to just eat something and lay down on her side and he will move. She called back a few hours later and told him that the baby still wasn't moving so he told her to come to the office the next day. By then, the baby was dead. So my doctor doesn't play when it comes to things like that. So he made me do a Non Stress Test (NST) and my baby was asleep so he told me to go eat something and come back cause he wanted the baby awake and moving. Before I left he was feeling my stomach with his hands to see if he could physically fell the baby moving and he told me that my baby was measuring large.
So I went back and got another NST and the baby was moving quite a bit and the doctor was satisfied with the results. But, now he wants me to come back every week for a NST just cause I'm high risk and have gestational diabetes and with that is a bigger risk for stillbirth. He also wants me to see the high risk dr in the hospital every week as well to keep track of the baby's growth on ultrasound. My dr says that he will not wait past 39 weeks to deliver my baby. So more than likely I will have the baby in November. I'm excited about having him sooner but I hope I don't have to end up having him by c-section cause of being too large.
So that's it about baby news... not really alot of symptoms. Just tired all the time like I was in the first trimester. I don't really have a big appetite and most of the time I forget to eat. I've cut back alot on sugar since finding out about the gestational diabetes and I've lost 3 pounds in 3 weeks. So in all, I've gained about 16 pounds so far! Well that's all I'm gonna say for now!
