1 Corinthians: Love

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the good. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will fail; where there are tongues, they will be silenced; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.   And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Such a beautiful piece. Would have to be up there with one of the best quotes from the bible for me. I love that you are such a believer in love, I am exactly the same way, I am a hopeless romantic to the very core. Big Hugs xxx
