`1-2-3 punch

Used to be 1-2 punch, two bad things happening at same time, but seems to have gone up a notch.

Last month I learned I have cataracts...not worth posting, or my usual denial, or taking time to sink in....eye doctor said he's had cataracts since 2002, without an operation, so maybe that was reason not to worry.

Today, cat threw up, real bad, twice...maybe still another pancreatic infection; seems every six months or so for it.  Was two months ago, though, i took him to vet, cause I worried he drinking too much, paid a hundred dollars for blood work, poor cat given clean enough bill of health, though vet gave penicillian pills just in case, but i had leftovers of those and liver pills i gave, and too much anti-biotics a bad thing...but an hour ago started cat on March pills, cause long weekend till Monday to vet.

#3 punch: colon exam next month, with me easy to guess some more polyphs to be found; maybe my cat even knows I'm stressed re that.

Trying to get blood pressure down, finally made eye exam a month ago cause, from what I found out on internet, I had an episode of "ocular migraine", in which the side of my eyesight went fuzzy.

Yesterday, I felt good enough to bike 4 miles each way to a nearby town for pawn shop dvds, exercize, relax, though, as one joked, I was dressed "like for desert storm"; sun mask, wrap around sunglasses, bike gloves, coat on warm-enough day.  It's as though I'm not allowed to have fun, forget any bad stuff.  I even wrote in my paper journal how I should be glad; have 400 dollars at vet, 200 at dentist for emergency, and a friend owes me 200 in july.  Mind boggling how you can try and try to be optimistic, and...wham.

I can be glad for free internet in community room down the hall from me; can look up health info, post here....though this virus-y computer, with clock always at wrong hour, and recent fake google warning in which I was supposed to phone google cause computer locked up; definately desperation on my part to take a chance with my password in order to feel a little better after posting.

(just me talking to myself; i'm sorry for not keeping up with people on this site.)

It is so good to hear from you. I have been wondering how you are doing. I’m happy that you posted.

My brother had cataract surgery. It is a fairly simple procedure these days. They do one eye at a time. Which is smart just in case there are any complications. But I do not think it is high risk.

My Mom had polyps removed from her colon twice. They sedate you for the test so at least you aren’t wide awake. You can always ask for more sedation if you need it. My Mom never had any complications from her polyps.

You take such good care of your cats. You are a true hero of pet owners. Are you feeding any strays? I remember how much you were worried about leaving the strays you fed behind when you had to move.

Sorry to hear about your migraines. I get very painful migraines myself. Sometimes I throw up for hours when I get a bad one. And they can last up to 4-5 days for me. It’s just unbearable. I have had 2 really bad ones in the last month. It’s awful.

Anyhow it’s past my bedtime but I wanted to answer right away when I saw your post. I was just thinking about you the other day. You take care of yourself. Hugs Kelley
