1/11/18- Hell of a few days
The weekend went well with Jennie. No outbursts or anything. We did have a little argument about her getting a phone though. Unfortunately, on the kids and my way home, we saw Dave. We all took the situation pretty well. There was no contact or anything but he did noticed us. He really didn't have a choice. We were crossing the street in front of him while he was in the turning lane at the light below our apartment. So now we are pretty sure he knows where we live, just not exactly.
Had a med check. The doctor took me off of Lithium and put me on Lamictal. So far so good, no reaction.
Today I take Jennie's cat to get neutered. Thank God, because he was/is starting to spray.
Next week Jennie and I have a meeting about putting her in a residential treatment facility (RTF). She doesn't want to go but, I think it would be good for her. She would be in there for a minimum of three months. Even if she would agree to a program called DAS, which is only 28 days maybe beneficial. She needs something more intensive than going inpatient or regular outpatient therapy. She has done part day therapy and school program. It was a no go for her. It didn't help. As for school she has been kicked out and withdrawn from cyber school because she broke their rules with the computer. So now we have to find her a school as well as some kind of therapy.
Although being traumatized by Jennie's behavior, Joy is doing well. I feel like I'm going nuts and stressed out and barely hanging in there but somehow I am finding the strength to carry on. So, now I am hoping for the best.

Hi. You may feel like you are going nuts but I don't believe you are. It sounds to me like you are making good decisions. I hope Jennie opts for the intensive therapy. It will be hard for all of you but overall, I think it would be the best for her.
I am glad that Joy is doing well! I suspect you are a support to one another.
I too hope for the best. You are doing what needs to be done and that is all you need to ask of yourself.
I am with you in spirit.
Love and tight hugs, Marlene
No advice I can offer, but just wanted to let you know I'd read your journal and I care and I am saying a prayer for all to work out.
Tight heart hugs,
Teri
