In reverence of the day it feels appropriate to skip Friday Funnies this week... 


Instead, if you have any memories you wish to share, or a tribute to someone lost on 9/11 or someone whose life you know what directly affected by the events of that day, please feel free to share it.

I was teaching in my classroom when it happened. We were told to check our email and then act as if nothing happened for the rest of the day. The following day, a mother, who worked at the Pentagon, brought her child to my classroom and told me that she had to stay home on 9-11 because her child was sick. She worked in the area of the building that was hit.

I went to the unemployment office that morning and saw it on tv there. Then got home and witnessed the second tower hit live. Such a horrible attack.

I was at my folks home
My chilhood home
So many changes since then

Such a horrific tragedy
May all of the poor souls who lost their life that day be at peace
And may all who love them know God's comfort

    Today mom and I are taking Moo and Copper to the vet for vaccines.  I'm watching a movie having coffee while copper snoozes in between my knees.  What does Thursday look like for you?

    My friend invited me out for lunch at this nice, clean sit-in place, where I got to order a salad of my choice with two chicken toppings out of a wall-mounted variety. I don't remember the name of the place. However, it was a nice experience. Thereafter, we headed down to one of my favorite dessert destinations, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in McAllen.
