Lost my wife on 7-20-15, we had been dating for almost 19 years married almost 6. I hate the looks get them everywhere. I try to make time and force myself to grieve everyday it has helped me not be too overwhelmed, but that is going to happen its very rough good luck. msg me if you need to talk
I lost my husband in August. He was 39 and I 36. I know what you are feeling. Especially when you said you could be in a room full of family and friends and not feel more alone. I wish I had some great wisdom for you, but I am needing some myself. After the first few months, the grief took on whole new level after the initial shock. I wonder at what point will it stop getting worse and become more bearable. My husband was my best friend also, so I understand the immense pain you are feeling. We were together for 2 and a half years, so our time was just not long enough. But I am so thankful that I was blessed to love and be loved by someone so wonderful and to have had the opportunity to live in that special happiness for the time that we were given. He will always be a part of me as your husband will always be a part of you. Many people can search for a lifetime and never find what we had. I just miss him so terribly that it hurts. Hang in there. Don't second guess the signs that you experience. I believe they are ways that we're shown that our loved ones are OK and are observing us and loving us from a far. Dreams are gifts too. Write them down and refer to them later. I have found that comforting.
