Today is 12 weeks that my wife passed away suddenly at only 40 years old. We were married 8 years but together for 15. She was my life. Everything I did was for her. I miss her so much. Not being able to hear her, touch her, make her laugh, cuddle on the couch and watch tv. I really feal my life is over and that I'm nothing without her. I haven't been able to sleep well, eat well or concentrate too long. I'm so tired I xan fall asleep in front of the computer at work but when I get to bed I keep reliving that say and night. It hurts my heart

First, I am so sorry for your loss. It is horrible to lose the love of your life. I would love to offer you some words of wisdom that will make it all better. It's been a little over 2 years since I lost my spouse to cancer. Time has helped me feel more "normal", and I've found ways to feel like life is moving forward. I've thrived in some areas, and struggled. I do find talking to people like you, who have had the same experience, comforting. No one else really can understand it. I also find comfort in the knowledge that getting out of bed every day and trying to live is what Mike wanted for me. I hope and pray you will find some comfort by reaching out to this group.

I'm sorry you're going through a difficult time. It's hard and sucks.....no other way to put it. Been 18 months since my wife passed. It gets manageable, but still hard. Keep busy and keep people close. Message me if you ever need to talk brother.

I lost my husband June of 2015 at 36 years old..some days are bearable, some I feel like I can hardly breathe. Your not alone. I guess we learn everyday a little bit how to get through. I wish I had some magic words for you but I don't. Please reach out if you ever need someone to talk to. It seems there are a lot of us here.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My husband has been gone for a little over 2 months now. I have the exact same troubles, can sleep at night, tired feeling all day, just an overall feeling of not being productive. Oddly enough I started doing yoga daily which helps to calm my mind. Also exercising or attacking the yard until I drop helps me sleep. I am lucky enough to have a fellow young widow who lost her husband in a similar way and were able to talk about similar issues were both facing. Talking things out no matter how crazy, silly or small really helps know your not alone. Just know your not alone

That overwhelmed feeling really hit me at almost exactly the same time frame. I lost my wonderful husband when he was only 51, and I remember going from the numb, unreality feeling into the "I cannot get through this" feeling. It's awful, and the only thing that really helped me at that time was this forum and being able to just be honest with people in this format. Everyone here understands what you are going through. It's awful. Try to give yourself credit for getting this far, and also try very hard to really be kind to yourself. Only other piece of advice at this point is to try, as hard as it is, to give yourself something to look forward to. It might be a movie, a book, a small get together with friends or family. It will help you focus a little bit on something positive in the future.
