you have to give yourself some alone time to deal with your emotions. When my fiancé died in a traumatic accident at 32 years old, I too was overwhelmed with all of the unexpected stuff when someone dies. dealing with his estate, his funeral expenses, the in-laws, probate court for the kids... it was so overwhelming that I didn't feel like I even had time to grieve. I bottled it all up inside and tried to hide my grief from our very young children. It eventually led to me having terrible nightmares and panic attacks about his death. I had to see a therapist and was diagnosed with PTSD. It took a year of therapy before my symptoms subsided and I felt like I could move on to having a normal life. Looking back, my biggest mistake was not allowing myself to feel the emotions and not giving myself the time to grieve alone in private. to really reflect on what had happened. I wish you the best and just know that it does get easier with time.
