I made some healthy turkey chili the other day and that got me thinking about all the types of chili out there. I think we have talked about this before briefly in this group, but I'd like to delve into it more. I find it very interesting that different regions of the US have very different versions of this dish.
I've seen some people serve it in skillets, really thick, salty, and meaty. Some people put lots of veggies in it, including corn. Some people add spices like cinnamon or cocoa powder. Where I'm from we call it chili soup and it has a ton of tomato juice in it and also pasta.
Another thing I have noticed is even in one region, everyone there makes it slightly different, and everyone seems to think theirs is best lol. How it is served is a special ritual too :)
I personally like mine with a lot of beans and a little spicy.
What is everyone else's thoughts? Should we all share chili recipes or should we keep them as close secrets?

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

last chili which was about ten days ago? I used a yellow bell and red or orange bell pepper that I chopped and I liked it but the thing was more a soup....put lots of beef in it though and I use oyster crackers unless not available then I crunch up saltines.....and beans usually I use red beans. kidney beans of dark or red variety and then too use black beans too.....so I am kind of eclectic with chili...but never green pepper and no veggies....just beans....and tomatoes.....
When using turkey or chicken I jse white beans, if using beef then kidney beans and all of them taste better with cheese on top, :-)
