1. Don't allow others to define you.
2. There is no "fix" for your relationship with God/Jesus.
"Religion" is man-made...relationship is God made!!
When you are ready, Jesus is patiently sitting there, waiting for you.
3. My response and advice for your issues must be prayed over still. I want to be able to respond without saying something that can offend.
I'll be back!! ;))
See, I knew God would give me something just for you. On a bible study on FB, I saw a scripture, copied it for my group on FB (prayer/praise) Put on my own thoughts, shared it here on DS (Champions of Christ church...then, God spoke to me (yes, He does that often) and suggested I copy/paste the scripture and comments here. And, here I am..here it is:
John 9:2-3 New Living Translation (NLT)
2 “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”
3 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.
Quit playing the "blame game" . It is as Jesus said, its no ones fault. The man was born blind so that Gods power and glory can be seen in the healing.
So, when "bad" stuff happens, do NOT say, " this happened because I am being punished for something bad I did." ??? Seriously? Not true... this was done so that when it is over, cleared up, done, God can and should receive the glory.
Just my thoughts, ok.
To God be ALL the glory ,Sister .

Blessings to you
I just wanted to share a bit of my story... I grew up in a dysfunctional family and as a result would go through alot . Things did happen and I felt so desperate and alone...I did pray to God...but some very bad things continued to happen.
I felt I was being punished, could not understand why others were able to have a close connection and easy answer to their prayers....but I was left to struggle all alone.
Long story a smidge shorter... circumstances did occur... I wound up in counseling a few times...each time I would come out learning something and coming across some very special people (some going through similar problems, some far worse) also some very caring, helpful professionals.
Since then, I have begun to realize that God has been with me all along. He has provided me with "stepping stones" (lessons and people) who continue to help me on my journey toward that healthier, happier life.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. For you I would say continue to reach out. The worst thing to do is give up and give in. (That assures you to be sentenced to this very lonely, empty existence) Here is a very good place to start. There are so many others who also struggle (as well as some who want to try to help others avoid some of the pain they did have to go through).
PS I have been way too trusting and gullible, so I did also come across one or two dishonest people with ulterior motives. Even then, I was lucky enough to come away learning to be a bit more cautious. You could consider that conversation with another as a wake up call.....
Maybe you don't feel you have any friends at this moment...... Just start with baby steps,. Continue to open up (if you are feeling something, you can safely post on here). Others can also reach out to you. You will come to realize there are many who also feel like isolated loners.
I LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY WHEN YOU REALIZE YOU ARE NOT A BURDEN, THAT YOU ARE A GOOD PERSON WHO IS ALSO ENTITLED TO REACH OUT, BE HEARD AND CARED ABOUT.
God bless
I believe , those who were made disciples are now called to make disciples. In the beginning, Jesus said to them, “Come and follow me.” Now he says, “Go, disciplize, show people who I am, invite them into my church, and remember I am with you.”
