God's Word is His will for men! Matthew 4:4

Man's basic responsibility - "Seek ye first the kingdom of God..." Matthew 6:33

Jer. 29:13 "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."

To those seeking the will of God it will "unfold" naturally one step at a time.

So, I just wanted your opinion as to how this works. How does one rise above his circumstances? As a new widow, I would like to move forward in my life. This is a dark place I'm in. If I sit in my house with the shades drawn every day, how can I hope to meet that new person (future mate)? Doesn't a little bit of faith and action play a part in this? I have already been shamed and ridiculed for having that desire. I pray, but no one seems to really understand why I would want this.

There is Absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a companion and no one should be shaming you about it.
In my opinion , you should go forward. No one should grieve for years .

Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

When my first husband was suddenly gone, I started dating within a few months, and then I was remarried a little over a year later. The circumstances were a lot different back then, but I had a new purpose, you might say. I realize that other people can't cause someone to materialize, but they could be supportive. Thank you for understanding.

Having a desire to not be alone is understandable.This is my second husband as well. I have thought and thought about it and came up with the idea that maybe God wants me to be alone and see my own value.Since I was a child i have always taken care of someone so i think maybe it is time i took care of myself. Put Me back in my life. I am discovering i enjoy my own company now. I have no friends here in this part of the country though all mine live in the Western part of the place But its alright for now. Learning who i am is a gift too i think. Be patient with yourself and know in time all will be alright again.

What helps me is to believe the Word of God where in the beginning God realized that it was not good for man (or woman) to be alone. I seriously believe that since He formed me and knew me in my mother's womb that He "knows" that I do best being married. I am a "penquin," otherwise, who will trudge toward my own demise. Merely existing.

Personally ,I like solitude but it is perfectly natural for a lady to have a companion .
Very true God created Eve so that he would not be alone .

For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up

I guess I am the exception rather than the norm. I don't want to drag all the skeletons out of the closet, but at the same time, there were some bad years in the past (and there were some good years), and when I weighed things out, this was where it brought me. A certain amount of solitude is okay, but not as much as I am forced to deal with. I guess it isn't so much that I have to have people's permission; it's a matter of the Lord hearing and answering my petition.

All things work together for good to those who love JESUS/GOD.
Everything will be fine in that matter and you are not too old .

I may be the exception because I am weird but if you look at one of my journals : Weird is a byproduct of being Awesome ,lol.
