It's always been really awkward of me to discuss this but since we are are woman I though it would be good to ask.
So I have had a boyfriend, but I think if I was attracted to him, it sure died really fast. like within the first week. Or maybe it was never there. And while I say movie stars and male models are hot, I don' think I actually ever really found anyone to be sexually attractive. I'm 20 and feel like I should have atleast seen one person by now that "made me knees wobble" but I have felt nothing. I have always just kind of ignored this delay because it was easy for me to focus on something else like... college or family issues. So does or did anyone else ever feel this way?....ever? and what do you think it means?...I'm starting to feel awfully lonely=(
Maybe you just not found the right one out there to give you that "feeling". Some ppl dont find it until way later on in life, they go through there "practice relationships" till then find the real thing.
i'm so sorry that this realization has made you feel lonely. i think you should never settle, even if the guy has the right schooling, if he doesn't make you feel then he's not the right person for you. it's better that you find out you are no longer into him within a week than after say marriage :P you have to define what you want for yourself not what you should be looking for. believe me it's out there. i found it three times. but i was always clear what i needed, i wanted someone intelligent, funny, with a job etc. it wasn't about physicality for me although if it had been i would have included that too. the clearer you are on what you desire the more you'll recognize it when it's out there. to put it in simple terms, let's say you want to buy a red sports car and have been thinking about it. don't you suddenly notice them every where.. it's called focus. no matter how great a guy may be on paper, you are the only one who can decide if that's enough to live with, build a relationship on. there are no right or wrong answers here only the ones that work for you. does this help?
to ilapearl... mr right is not out there because we keep changing and unless you find a mate that changes and grows with you he'll become mr. worong :P however mr. right now is out there who could turn into mr. potentially right FOR YOU in the long run :)
taloola - unless one is a sociopath or psychopath guilt is felt however the amount of guilt felt by anyone is really relative and not necessarily appropriate :P
I am 45 and still looking for my "Mr. Right" who will change and grow WITH me - sigh!
Have had too many "Mr. Right Now's" - Still looking for that lasting one!
P.S I am new to this group, been reading posts for a couple weeks - figured it was time to jump in and get my feet wet.
Hope everyones having a safe and great Holiday Weekend - Sober one for me - My first major "drinking" holiday that I will spend sober. And, unbelievably - I'm happy about that!
I felt the same way in my twenties. Settling down with one guy get married and kids, just wasn't a thought. Sure I had guys and went out and had a great time* But I guess I'm selfish and want what I want, when I want it. If that makes sense. I still feel the same.
at least you're still looking .. there's a chance you'll find him. i had mr. right three times no four but i'm just one of those silly people who can't live with certain "errors in judgement". personally and maybe this really way off.. but i think strong, intelligent, independant, direct women have a really difficult time ending up with mr. for the long run.
It's nice to be sexually attracted to someone, but most of the time that type of attraction is short lived. You're a young woman and you shouldn't put a time limit on what type of man you're looking for in life. You should try to build a friendship with someone that has some of the same interest you have, then you begin to develop a mental attraction to that person. Enjoy being a young single woman hanging out with your friends, and be patient.

A lot of females have guilt ~ even deep seated.
It's only part of the problem. What if instead of thinking, "Ok, I'm done," we all open up ourselves to explore further?
