and my bf always treats me like i'm stupid because i wasn't raised in America and one of the conditions that comes with my illness is memory relapse. so he always claims my arguments to have no basis because i have 'memory problems"

Since I started dating 32 years ago, Men have said that I am very sensual and sexual. O.K. you may think that is just a compliment, but when all they want to do (most of the time) is have "Quiet evenings at home" and have sex instead of going out, it gets old and when I realized what was going on in my early 30's, it started to hurt my feelings.

Sure I've been on thousands of dinner dates over the past 30+ years, but they usually want that to end in my bed. Why do Men think that if you're sensual and sexy you aren't the type to take home to Mother. Why can't Men see that you can be both?

Hello to all, I just joined yesterday July 27th

that i am lazy because i am over weight. that could be further from the truth I work 60 hours a week and am on a waiting list with cal state to start the duel bachelors masters registered nursing program. i have a thyroid problrm and the medicine makes me sick so I dont take it I keep the weight instead. I dont have high blood pressure and I work as hard if not harder than most men I know.

Three years ago I was labelled as being "Out of my mind" because I chose to raise my grand daughter from birth....I was only 42 and healthy so why the hell not?? yes ok I had to give up alot of my freedom, cut down from working full time to part time because it was alot of work....I got tired of explaining myself....now I just say "Unless you've walked a mile in my shoes then shut the F*** up!! That usually shuts them up...lol...but seriously at my age now of 45 I really don't give a rat's ass what people think about me or what I do.

Thanks scorp...and thank you for saying that....your words of encouragement and support make me feel good....I just wish more people saw it for what it is...she's my blood and I could never live with myself for letting her get caught up in the "system"...over my dead body. I bonded with this beautiful baby the second I saw her little head pop out...I was there for my daughter...and there to help when she was going through severe post partum depression at 18 yrs old. I did this for one person only....my precious grand daughter.

Hmm... I always wondered about that myself. I think if someone talks behind my back, whatever it doesnt hurt me. Now if they have the nuts to say it to my face THEN we might have an issue. So I dunno what I have been labled, i suppose high riding bitch due to my job and thoes in the war and terrorism room comments. Some ppl (men) cant handle woman in an position of authority and I really don't care. I love it.

I'm tired of people ASSUMING I'm gay just because I hate wearing dresses, heels and uncomfortable hose.
I like to wear my hair short (BECUASE it's comfortable, easy to take care of and I can get 'away with it' since most people say I look 'cute' in short hair), I like to wear jeans, sweatshirts and comfortable athletic wear most of the time, and I am still presently single.
I love the way most people start askin me the ole questions "wow.. why aren't you married or have a boyfriend?" I understand that is NOT what people assume (underlying assumption) and they're just curious.
However, I get the 'vibe' from people and ESPECIALLY when they find out I was in the Army. A woman in the service doesn't always mean that woman is GAY! It pisses me off how 'backward' people think... I feel like saying to those people (when I get that 'vibe' ... only if I'm sure) "so.. what if I AM gay.. so WHAT?"
It's amazing how narrowminded people can think.. just because someone like me enjoys 'being myself'.. comfortable with how I wish to wear my hair and how comfortable I want to dress! SORRY, I'm just not into the 'dressy' feminine' style.. so GET OVER IT, ya know?
