I am constantly letting my boyfriend down. I act in ways that are selfish and I keep telling him I don't know why. He is so annoyed with my behavior and is ready to pull the plug on the relationship because ot the way I am treating him. Tonight, I asked him to call me about dinner before he came home, and he did, three times, and when I was out running around I looked to see I missed his call and text and then I texted him "Sorry I missed you" he didnt respond. So when he came home, he said I called you three times why didnt you call me back? I didnt know what to say. I said sorry and he dropped the food stormed into the bedroom and said he is so tired of the way I act. I am just like so mad at myself, why didnt I call him?
I am so hurt by the way I acted, what is wrong with me? How can I possibly face him and talk to him about this when I know he is going to say, i've heard this all before, it's the same story everytime. I am afraid I have pushed him so far away.

In all relationships there will be mistakes on a regular basis. We have to mature and over look and forgive. My husband and I have been married soon to be 17 years on 4/4. We have failed each other time and time again. Maturity is to love in action and commitment not feeling. Maturity is forgiveness we are not perfect. I hope you both find this in your relationship. A good definition of love is found in the following:
