I have been diagnosed with lympedema 13 years ago. It is a condition that makes certain part of the body to swell up due to fluid retention. I am 28 years old. This condition has caused so much change in my life. I am actual finding it hard to deal with. Career change, heart broken.... I feel like it has taken life away from me. I keep fighting the negative emotions but i dont win all the time. It is hard to live with a chronic disease especially when you are young and pain gets you down. I feel so empty, i have this void within me that i try to fight all the time. It is so difficult to give my heart to anyone again after what i have gone through. Besides i have a condition that depresses me,who will stand by you when you feel sad most of the times. And when your feet and legs are swollen and you go through pain. I am so scared of ending up alone. I feel so lonely even when there are people around me.

I have put this up before on this page, I will appreciate your input again. This is real eating me up. I have exams coming up in 5 days time and i am finding it hard to keep myself together.

I am the same age as you and have the same thing happen to me. I see where your coming from and I felt the same way up until a year ago when I met my bf. When we first met I had a lapse and the embarassing things that happen with this condition and looked me in my eye and said It's ok, granted I didn't believe him at first. I felt the same way why would to stand by my side, but he does. He's there through the good and the bad and you'll find that. You took me back reading this I think I made all of the same statements. You can do anything you set your mind to I'm sure you've heard that before I know I have plenty of times. I've learned through being disappointed so so many times that even if your standing alone your still standing right?

I truely hope things get better and you feel better.....Message me if you need to talk and I will get back to you as soon as I can

I will email you. i am feeling alot better today somedays it really gets to me. No one around me understands since it is such a rare condition and not many people know about it. Even better we are the same age, i know you can relate ... thanks.

Hi Annery,
"who will stand by you when you feel sad most of the times. And when your feet and legs are swollen and you go through pain." Someone who really loves you.

I live with my boyfriend who has a mood disorder. He has days when he cries for really no reason at all. He is the sweetest man I have ever met, it is just something I accept because I love him and care about him so much. We were in the Hallmark store and this little girl was trying to buy a stuffed animal. Her money was spread all over the floor and she was counting it. He went over and asked her what she was short. He ended up giving her a dollar and it made her day!!! This is why I love him. He is kind and loves animals and loves me. I have Fibromyalgia and CFS and Peripheral Neuropathy and have some really bad days, but he loves me anyway.

I know when you meet the right person for you they will except everything about you, your moods, your weight, all of you. I know heartbreak personally through 2 divorces so I know how hard it is to let go and trust again. First take care of yourself and then what is meant to follow will. Just trust.
