Larger bills were discontinued in 1969 and have not been printed since 1945 due to lack of use.
Notes in the denominations of $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 were
printed for general use; a $100,000 note was printed for certain internal transactions.
These notes are legal tender and may be found in circulation today; however, most
notes still in circulation are probably in the hands of private numismatic dealers and collectors.
