That's it never too late to get divorced. My parents had a miserable marriage and finally divorced at the age of 60. My father remarried and was much happier. My mother never remarried and was much happier.

The other lesson I learned from them was to not have children. They were terrible parents so I had no role models to be a good parent myself. I'm very thankful that I chose not to have children so my children didn't have to suffer having a lousy childhood like I did.

Sorry to be so blunt Rachel and Barb but there isn't much positive to say about my parents.

It is a long story and actually was taught by my grandmother. But the gist of it is no matter what you are trying to build. a house, a marriage or an afghan or a life. It cannot be done without a good foundation .


My mother taught me many things. This week what comes to mind is : "You are NOT wearing those shoes with THAT outfit, are you?????"
