Okay I admit it - I have never watched a segment of Jersey Shore until right now. As I watch this I have no idea as to why this show is on the air.

What do you all think of it?

Okay - so far this show appears to be hyper-glorification of some pretty serious dysfunction. Is this like a new version of the Jerry Springer Show?

And who is this "Snookie" - what's with all those hats? This is one very bizarre show - but weirdly interesting.

Haha...LJ I only watched this show one time and it made no sense to me. These kids love to bar hop,get drunk and argue amongst themselves and harass others. Don't know about Snookie either. Seems she is really out there! This is the new "reality" of tv!

I live in New Jersey and do not watch the show. I saw the first few episodes and thought it was a joke. Snooki and most of the cast are not even from NJ. They are all mostly from Long Island or Staten Island New York. Every summer I spend some time down in Seaside, and you do not come across people acting like they do.

Well from what I saw today - "Snookie" runs around drinking a lot and passes out in the sand - pretty entertaining stuff :)

Hopefully they are not the new role models for the younger generation - I just don't get it.......
