As we walk this long. long road
life before us does unfold.
When at last we learn to fly.
Why is there no one to hold me now as I cry?
Along the way, the path does twist and turn,
We find there is much we have to learn.
When things get tough we weep and sigh.
Why is there no one to hold me now as I cry?
The good times abound and help us to smile
As we walk, run or trudge each incredible mile.
There is always joy to be found if we try,
Why is there no one to hold me now as I cry?
This life with him I share
It seems we floated without a care.
And then something happen to my wonderful guy.
Why is there no one to hold me now as I cry?
As I watch him struggle through
I have no idea what to do.
I know I am losing him no matter what I try

I watch as each step is agony to walk,
Some days he doesn't have the breath to talk.
I feel all alone as I watch him die
