It is lonely sometimes but I do like my total freedom.
Clay, I have felt the same way, and have talked with many people who also feel alone in the midst of people. I think it has more to do with deep issues of trust. At least for me, the more I let God show me the root of my feelings of loneliness, the more He showed me memories, as a child, where I decided people were not trustworthy and put up invisible walls to protect myself. Slowly, bit by bit, I am being healed. Restoring the Foundations has really help me to do this. If you are interested go to rtfi.org to find a team near you.
Love you,
Debra
So far we have ways to embrace and/or cope with being alone:
1 go to the park and watch children play
2. go for walks
3. go to the coffee shop
4. read
5. don't have to report to anyone = freedom
6. Christian faith
7. interacting with people on the internet
8. have dogs
9. do crafts
10. keep in touch with true friends
