Oh, my heavens I have been invaded!!!!! Tuesday, June 8, 2010 | A Funny story
Here they come marching 'cross the floor,
Don't know where they come from it ain't through the door.
The windows are sealed tight,
you know this ain't right.
Hey Hey it's the Ant squad
There's more than a squad, a platoon holds not enough. My Heavens it's a blooming Army! It's an invasion!!
The Ant's go marching one by one, oh dear, oh dear!
The Ant's go marching two by two, no way no way!
Ant's to the left of me
Ant's to the right of me
On comes the 6 million
There's a millions of them in the bathrooms. in the laundry room, in the bedroom, in the computer room (Wait What? They need to send e-mails), in the kitchen, in the dining room. In My sewing room. (What they want to make prom dresses and tuxes?) There is no food in some of these rooms no water in most of them. They are even in the canned food cupboard. Hope they brought a can opener. What is the deal?
Dennis left some stuff for me to use but it says to keep away from pets. The only pet that would not have to stick their nose in it would be Sally and she can't get the top off her tank or she just might.
I have this vision of me with a foam baseball bat beating cats away from this stuff. But to be honest I think you are suppose to put it on the ants nest outside. However the ants are on to this ploy. The have devised tactics to prevent one from finding their nice snug little homes. Or would that be base camp. I have found exactly 3 ant trails outside each leading a different direction from the house. They go so far and then the ants scatter to the 4 corners. My luck their nest are in Lancaster (150 miles away)
"There aren't quite as many as there were a while ago." They have been disposaled, washed, swept and stepped on. But they keep coming. I have cleaned and recleaned the clean kitchen counters and still they come. I have swept and mopped clean floors(Don't tell the girls. I am not suppose to do those things 'cause of my back) and still they come. I have changed the table cloth, and still they come.
You would think the concrete would get to hot for those little footsies. It's 100 degrees in the shade and most of the back yard is concrete in full sun. I am not going to run around with no shoes on that cement!!!!!!!!!
Hope all who read this have a chuckle on me and a very, very good day
Love 'n hugs,
And Still them come

I can't figure it out! Is this the finally advancement or another scouting mission? Did the same army send for reinforcements or just tell a neighboring troops where we were?
Dennis put that stuff on their home base and still they came. He put it on their trails and still they come. What, they wear armor on their little bodies? Have cast iron stomachs?
They are still all over the place. I found them in my closed dishwasher (TeeHee, TeeHee, TeeHee, guess what happened to those little suckers) My question is: How do they get into a closed dishwasher but the water can't get out?
Well, my grandson and I have come to a decision. We are pulling out the big guns. Yeah, I know, Isaiah wants to use a bazooka. However, I don't know where to get one, I am not sure they would sell me one, and hey, I kind'a like my kitchen floor. So we went to Home Depot and bought not one but two bottles of Terro. We'll get those little bug(gger)s. Terro takes a little longer (Oh, well, the other stuff didn't work at all). But we will get them.

The battle was well fought, but I have, however, won the war!
The invading armies have been conquered. No prisoners were taken.
I have no idea how many different armies I had to fight. One was advancing from the South east, one from west, one from the north and I think one was coming from the east. We were surrounded. I do not know if these were troops from one command post or troops from several command posts. I only know there were millions of them. I do know that they joined forces as no matter which direction they came from there was only one trail into the kitchen (except the one that was coming from the east). How ever once they got into the kitchen they branched off in 4 different directions so that they could all meet up again around the sink area.
My line of defense consisted of 10 doses of Terro Ant killer in 5 different places. But still they advanced and fought. Took over 24 hours for them to fall back. Then this morning we noticed a few more running around. We do not know if these were walking wounded from the previous skirmish or a scouting party for a new advancement. If they were walking wounded, we put them out of their misery. If they were an advance scouting troop, their commander must have decided that since his scouts did not return that it would not be advantageous to move his troops in at this time.
