I want to believe in a brighter day.
I want to believe that the pain will lesson.
I want to believe that my life still has purpose.
I want to believe that I will laugh again.
I want to believe that I will love and be loved again.
I want to believe that roses will bloom again.
I want to believe that God has my back.

I think wanting to believe is half the battle. Hope is always available to us. Don't give up.

From one who knows, you will have it all if you believe. Hugs,

Smith Wigglesworth at times would pace back and forth saying these words to his audience, "Only believe". And he would keep saying it over and over. And when they caught it, the miracles would happen. Don't want to believe. Only believe. Scott

Something that got me through after I lost my husband, and still does when I feel sad, is ending my prayers with "whose life can I touch today, Lord". It helps me take the focus off of myself. Days are good; mornings and evenings not so great but we will all make it. I started a group through my churh for widows/widowers to find fun again in life. We plan different outtings, getting together to play bingo, etc.

It means a great deal to the members who have lost a spouse to be able to have new activities to look forward to. We have a bereavement group at our church . They meet to talk and also meet for lunch once a month. There have been house parties. There is a singles table at the dinner dances. There have been a couple of marriages within the group and lasting friendships made. You did a wonderful favor for those folks by starting up a group. God Bless you. Hugs, Dolores

My church needs to recruit some single men to balance things out. I started to say, "recruit some widowers," but that kinda sounded bad - because you only get them one way. There are always plenty of activities for the youth, but we unfortunate "mature" loners are left out in the cold. You have to have something to work with when you start a group. Right now we have slim pickins (not the singer either).

I have watched many things become possible with God in my lifetime. I believe and you will learn to also as you lean on him through this grief journey.
