Am thinking about doing the 12 step program for me..it may lead me back to believing more in God.Or allowing God to take my insecurities away.Am starting on the Big Book here at home alone first so as to really think..i may go to a meeting not sure yet. It is harder for women to go to these meetings..wish they had some just for women i would be more inclined to go..doing a self evaluation would be good for me..bring me closer to understanding me. The idea came to me this morning.. so am getting a notepad to write it All down..I loved my husband with all my heart and soul but i need to figure me out and why i do what i do..part of it has to do with him and i have nothing to lose but to gain myself :) Hugs Everyone !!!

After reading a number of your posts and messages I began to wonder if maybe your mind is overactive. So I thought i would suggest just getting really quiet sometimes and try not to let your mind wander or take over. Good luck Shelda. You will find your way. Much love and hugs. Cheryl

I have always had this imagination it is a curse..i have multiple books started..and on on a new one right now.Breathing and keeping quiet does help though :)

The 12 step program is a amazing guide to redirect your life in a healthy way. It requires you to self reflect which we all need to do, ask God for help with our challenges which again we all need. I truly believe true peace and happiness can only be found by listening to and following God whispering to us through prayer and reflection. I pray that God blesses you on your journey to find the peace and clarity you are seeking. Gerry

God is with us all they say and i know being grateful helps. Its hard when i can't think straight. But am forcing myself to sit here..even though i want to go for a walk..snow today again. Am thinking of starting yoga..not sure. I just wish i felt like Home. Where is Home.The feelings of being secure and loved. The love has to come from me though and this is what i am trying to do..love myself. Love all of you :)

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss, I have been in the same boat with trying to find some sort of group to become involved with because unless you have been through this it's hard for someone to empathize. Friends mean well but as far as myself I know no one who has been through what I have. I went to a general grief group but it was more people who have lost a parent and even though that is a large painful loss it's different than losing a spouse. I am still looking and I wish you the best in finding an outlet.

Just reading this 3 months later and hope something has worked for you. I saw you mentioned yoga and I can say that yoga has really helped me plus you can find classes on YouTube along with meditation music. I sure don't have all the answers and as I read this post you sound like me.
