I am not too fond of this holiday. You think of holidays as celebrations; should I celebrate being a widow?? I do honor both my late husbands for their military service, but I don't want to go see their names set in stone over mounds of dirt. I feel that I let him (Dennis) down by not getting the headstone put out by now. There's no vase to put fresh flowers in. I may wait and go after. None of his family live close.

I think we need to do what feels right for us.
I’m so so trying to go one day at a time, but so hard. Bless us

I didn't go till late in the day. I saw where people were putting their fresh floral arrangements in green cones. So I went to a couple grocery stores, and Albertson's had the Plastic cones = and roses on sale. I bought some bright pink ones called Moody Blues. I guess I should have bought red, but I put red poinsettias out at Christmastime (a little diversion). I'll take them tomorrow or Wednesday. I wish I had a small flag; maybe Dollar Tree would have those?
