I just want to thank Joeinaz for originating this select group. I want to thank all the contributors as well. This site is quite different from the main group and faith is our strongest help in times of trouble. So every post here goes deeper into the heart and i feel closer to those of you who have faith in our loving God and accept his will in difficult situations. The verse that helps me so much is Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean NOT (emphasis mine) on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." When I get all in a ball of knots trying to figure out why things happened, I have to remember this verse. God doesn't expect us to understand. He expects us to trust him. As Dr. Charles Stanley of First Baptist Church in Atlanta says each Sunday, "Obey God and leave all the consequences to him." How helpful that has been. I hope all of you will continue posting your thoughts here. It is such a great help to me. You ARE my friends.

Joe was "called on the carpet" by several members when he started this group, but by the continued growth in membership and the continued participation of those that have joined, it's pretty obvious that there was a need for it. He was actually accused of trying to divide the group, and of being exclusionary...he has never said it is open only to Christians, it just seems to be a place Christians are drawn to...and like you, I am thankful that I can let me guard down and share my faith with worrying about offending anyone or being mocked or ridiculed...some of the posts on the main discussion boards can be quite derogatory and sarcastic toward people of faith. This board feels safe...I plan to keep posting & participating...

As Christians, it is our love for the Father and His for us that binds us together. Trusting in Him is how we make it through this grief journey. I appreciate each of you, and I know we are thankful to Him each day for the gift of His Son and through this our salvation. We have sad days because of our loss, but we "know Who holds tomorrow - and know Who holds our hand." Isn't this encouraging?

Yes, some others still think that this has been started to divide DS. I don't agree with that. I am glad that we have both. At least in this group, as you all have said, I feel that we may express our beliefs and prayers w/o feeling like someone may "jump on" our statements. I still go to the other group also.

Doye, I have always loved that song "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow", because I do know. Of course, there are many songs that I love, that have such a wonderful message.
