I have been sort of lethargic today. I think I am looking for a tangible sign to give me a bit of hope. I have purposely not put up anything on my walls since I moved 6 months ago, because I don't know if I am leaving or staying. I actually don't feel like making a major decision right now, and yet no one else is going to make it for me. In the meantime, I am just marking time, and that, to me, is counter-productive.

Marking time or maybe allowing time for more healing to occur before major decisions are made. Grief is a very complicated emotional journey and lethargy is definitely a symptom. For me the journey through grief was more a process that involved 2 steps forward and 1 step back. We have to honor our feelings and be gentle on ourselves. You will be ready when you are ready. It will occur in the timeframe that is best for you. Rushed decisions are usually poor ones. Praying for your continued healing.

Gerry, I guess I feel that I am taking some steps backward. Actually, it's like this year is a replay of last year, if that makes sense. I am back to having flashbacks, etc. So marking time is not bad within itself? I suppose I can ask my pastor, who is also my landlord, if maybe I can rent month to month at some point in the future. Till I figure this thing out! Maybe I can just go back to the MW for an extended visit and get a "feel" for it again; see if the kids are going to be of any support; try out some churches in the area, Idk. This has not been a good day overall. Thanks for your prayers. I would like to write an open letter to everyone I know and tell them how I feel, but it would probably backfire, so I won't. Yesterday my friend and I drove by the cemetery, and I have been a basket case ever since. I have been trying my level best to get a headstone out there, and I think I may have to get an attorney.

Just wanted to insert a bit of "dark" humor. My pastor has advised me to go with the marker as they have it because this has "drug out too long." I would hate to pay $1700 - $1800 for a marker and go out there to find it wrong. I thought about Aaron Wilbourn's joke "Isn't that Odd?" Perhaps I should just have that inscribed.
