I am in the same boat. It has been a year and a month for me, and I struggle with depression on top of my grief. I am going to send you an email.

Will be at four years Feb 11/18. I am also depressed. Feel like I am barely looking after myself. I find comfort in the Lord and really nothing else! Sending out prayers. ((Hugs))

Prayers being said. I, too, suffer with depression and I have an enormous fear of falling into a deep depression thru this grieving time. I am reaching out for as much help as I can get thru counseling, online support groups, griefshare, friends and family. I pray you are doing the same, depression and grieving can totally suck the life (what there is) right out of you,

May our Lord grant you healing and peace and provide you with the strength to get through each day and be able to live the life HE has graced you with. I know it can not be easy but hold on to HIS promise that HE is ALWAYS with us and will never abandon us. We don't understand the whys of our suffering but we trust that HE will get us through. Sandra, we have been connected as "friends" on DS for a long time. I did not login to forum for a few weeks, but I do not know why your msgs aren't arriving. do you get a notification about it? I don't.

I move forward, and sometimes I rush…too much time in grief is punishment too much, I have cried and I love our memories…of all our adventures and fancies. I love my dreams for in the night .. she returns so real to wake is a fight. I still work and I still play.. take hold of my family much of the day. But for me it is not enough… I move forward to search new love. It is not young love that I might find…but someone who wants to share the rest of my time. To this new adventure as my future.. help to mitigate the emotional torture. Not to erase or forget my past.. those memories will forever last. Although it may sound awkward… I take her with me as I move forward. As I walk with someone new who understands all that I have been through.. And with no envy we can share her memory.. I pray God blesses you the same…and you find new adventure in life to claim.
