I'm 48 years old and lost my husband suddenly in October to a brain aneurism. We were truly in Love - been married for 28 years. Have 5 children and we are all really grieving, didn't get to say any last words and that we Loved him. He died instantly. Just found out he had no life insurance. he had been on workman's comp for a year and they cancelled his insurance. We thought it was just the health insurance, didn't know they had also cancelled the life insurance. Does anyone have any advice ? My kids are really upset thinking about moving out of our home and it took both me and my husband to pay all the bills. I'm so upset, losing my soul mate and now having to think of moving. Has anyone had to experience this or have any suggestions.

I am sooooo sorry for your loss. I lost my precious husband 2 years ago Jan 30. I, too, was so worried financially. My husband was on disability due to heart/lung issues and rheumatoid arthritis, but he paid my car pmt and the mortgage payment. He had no life insurance and no burial insurance. Just some cash in the house, which went to a couple house payments and a down payment on his cremation. I sold his truck and that gave me money for the next several house payments. Then I stumbled on his pension paper work. After months, it turned out less than $200 a month but it does help. Then in October of that year, I refinanced my house, paying off my car in the process, put the house insurance payments in escrow. I pay the same house pmt but no car pmt and no worries when the house ins is due. My dad passed in Nov that same year.

All I can tell you is that God has seen fit to give me what I have needed when I have needed it and from some completely unexpected places. Turn your face to Him, lean on Him, give it all to Him. He has plans in all of this. I know how very difficult it is to see what they could possibly be, but He has plans.

By the way, I was only 51 when my husband passed. I understand how hard it is when you thought you were going to grow old together and now, at so young an age, you are without him. Prayers and hugs to you.

I am sorry I did not see your post sooner.....would you please let us know how you are?
Thinking of you and your children...plus you are grieving....that it too, too much to deal with.
