I am back after a long absence.  I would love to say I am now happily married, but that is not the case.  I am in love though - I think!  Anyway smitten.  I had a Covid-19 meetup the end of March with my Aussie friend, but then he had to go back to Queensland.  Then the borders closed.  We still communicate through FB, Messenger, email, and phone calls.  He plans to come back as soon as possible so we can go on an even longer road trip.  We have expressed our feelings for one another, for the most part.  I don't know how long it will be before I see him again, and it's really hard.  I know there are many bi-national couple forced to be apart.  It just seems unfair, like life has dealt me a bad hand again.  I am trying to be positive nevertheless.
