Last night I was struggling real hard with the thought of saying my final goodbye to Meredith by ordering her headstone. At work today I prayed all day for some sort of real sign that going through with this was not my goodbye but a tribute to her like my own mother said.

Well tonight after I got home and ate dinner I sat down at the computer like I do every night and went to Facebook. I noticed I had a message request waiting for me and so I went on to read the message. The first time I read it I cried then I had to read it to the kids. I am posting it below and as a note I am leaving this ladies name out of the post for respect to her.

I needed to hear this so bad today more than I or she could have ever known.

“You don't know me, I'm not sure if you even know of me. Meredith was my online friend for so long that I don't even remember how we met. What I do remember is how much her friendship meant to me. I had a nightmare childhood that lead to a bigger nightmare of a first marriage. I thought if God does exist he sure doesn't care about me any. I was full of anger and doubt. Your wife showed me who God really is and how much he loves all his children. It was her friendship that opened my heart and the reason I allowed God in. I miss her. I thank God everyday for leading me to her and I want you to know I pray for you and your family. She was an amazing woman and I can't even imagine the pain you must be feeling. I will continue to pray for you everyday.

I had thought about messaging you before but I'm rather shy and never did. Today I just felt like the Lord was telling me you needed to know how much she meant to me.”
