Today is my daughters 23 birthday.  I will share a very personal story here at DS I havent shared anywhere's alse. As my wife was dying of cancer almost four years ago in her final week of life she shared a very personal story with me.  As she was giving birth to our daughter there were many many complications where she was dying.  She told me I made a deal with God.  Let me see my daughter grow up before you take me.  In the final week of my wife's life she said to me God kept has kept his part of the bargain.  My daughter was 19 when my wife passed.  My wife's unwavering faith in God was a incredible inspiration and example for me.  Needless to say every birthday I think of that secret deal she made with God.  We both hoped God would allow her to live longer but that wasnt meant to be.  Even now I talk to my wife in heaven and whatever I cant handle or deal with I leave it in her hands to watch over our daughter.  She still has a mother she is just in a very special place playing a very special role in her life.
