Wish I knew why one can go along all week feeling much better, have a good day today, and be left feeling so very sad and depressed at the end of the day. I even had telephone calls from a couple of friends, make some soap to fill an order, and nothing went wrong. I should be feeling on top of the world. However, as I was sitting eating a yumilicious Magnum Double Chocolate Ice Cream Bar, the blues hit me big time. Absolutely NO reason for it!! I want to crawl in a hole and pull it in after me!!! WTH is wrong with me????? I know there is no answer, but just had to vent a bit. Weepy hugs to all. Darlene

There is nothing wrong with you. While I have not really had any "good days "(yet?) since Shane passed, I have had days that were not as horrific as others... then BOOM... back down. From what I have read and been told, this is the new "normal" for those of us facing this loss.
It is awful, and I truly hope that you have a better day tomorrow.

Nothing is wrong with you...since my husband passed 6 months ago, I have not gone one day without crying at least once or twice...and we have had some positive things happen, but I haven't been able to be completely happy because he is not there to share them with us...it's kind of like having a dark cloud hanging over our heads, ready to burst at any given time...

Oh Darlene . . maybe it's in the air today. I sat and cried this morning myself. (Of course, I knew my trigger . . feeling sorry for self and guilty about my little slip up last eve). Can you think of a trigger? Could be something as innocuous as eating the Magnum Ice Cream? Hormones always come to mind as well. Did you sleep well last night? Okay, and after I go through these series of questions and still don't have an answer, I simply know that I needed to be weepy and I am a widow (as are you) after-all. We just roll with the punches and ride the waves, knowing they will pass. Big hugs to you and I'll be sending positive energy your way. xo, D

Darlene, you are grieving. Nothing wrong with you whatsoever! I often wonder too when these waves hit, what is the trigger. Just life in general I guess. Certainly have no answers, if I did I would surely avoid it like the plague! It's been a weepy day for me too! Be good to yourself, we are all here for you, Hugs and Love, Michele

Darlene, you're human.......there's your answer!

I'll weep with you. Oh, maybe not this very minute but trust me, I'll weep sometime during the day and it can be over something huge or a very little thing...no matter....I will weep! You're not alone. Logistically we may be miles apart but you're right here in the room with me, as I am with you.

I'm sorry if you're feeling weepy, hold on to it and know that it won't last forever!!!!

What you are experiencing is completely normal--anything can trigger a memory (at least, that is what can shift my mood in a nanosecond). A fragrance, a song, searching my in box and finding an old e-mail from my husband--anything! Sometimes I smile, sometimes my eyes fill with tears--there is no rhyme or reason to my reactions.
