It is our group mission and intention to help support the grieving widow/widower without inference or reference to topics or conversation involving religion. Although we are of differing faiths, we chose to not bring up our respective beliefs in this forum, believing that doing so only helps to incite, antagonize and cause debate. This is not an occult site and I simply wanted to describe or define secular belief . . .
Wikopedia: Secularism is the principle of the separation of government institutions and persons mandated to represent the state from religious institutions and religious dignitaries. Many in our membership family 'BELIEVE' in something, as we are spiritualists, for sure . . we might even be religious . . albeit mostly in a non-aligned, organized religion generally. Again, the only point I would like to share across the board, is this: "we do NOT have to be exposed to or preached to by those that do align themselves with organized religious dogma beliefs, along with their chosen religion of choice"!! If we wanted to go to church (and some here do, not dissing you and that choice) . . then we would go to church! There are many such subtle hints to convert the heathen (if we are indeed heathens) to join a church or a group thought. I'd like to think this group is beyond group judgement and thought pressures. We are individualists that think for ourselves and make decisions based upon our sound judgement. We are strong, independent souls!! Yes, we seek support from the outside, yet . . we don't necessarily need it to survive. We know who we are! We accept who we are!! We are freed from outside judgement!! . . because we love ourselves and accept ourselves. We are not conditioned, nor do we need to be conditioned by a "group" that tells us how to behave or not behave to be accepted! My voice says: "Dance to your own rhythm, my friends"! Therein will lie your ability to heal and recover your self. Forget those that plant the seeds of ?? hate, dogmatic views, nonacceptance, etc. As long as you love and believe in self, all else follows in a good way. Watch your back to those that prey on the innocent! They come in sheep's clothing . . I see this all the time. Be prudent and "think" before you accept their advice or follow their path. We must all be vigilant in our own way, with our own life at stake!!
