I know it isn't Sunday yet for "topic of the day" but just had a thought (and at my age, I have to act on it before I forget it!) LOL

Here in the mountains of AZ it is beginning to get a little cool at night which reminds me of fall. I always hated that season because everything died and all the birds went south, but there has to be something good...right? So I wonder........What is the first thought that comes to your mind when the weather turns cool? I immediately think "chili soup"! For some reason that dish never comes to mind at any other time of year. What is your first thought?

Speaking of changes and Autumn . . I'm completely opposite Dar. I love Fall . . it's my absolute fave time of the year! I love the turning of the leaves and the cooler days and nights! Chili? Yum (must admit, I eat it year round!) Bon fires!! I will miss those here in MT, believe it or not . . we won't do many here in the valley. I have a huge fire pit in SC. I loved picking my way through the woods to fetch wood to torch. Even when alone, last year. There is something spectacularly amazing about fires! (contained fires)

Sorry, you asked my first thought and they all came in a jumble because if you didn't notice, Fall is my fave time of the year!! :)

Great topic . . we'll carry on to tomorrow. Maybe I'll be able to actually get some sleep tonight knowing this aspect is covered and I don't have to pull crap out of my arse!!

It was a miserable summer here in Nebraska. Wet, cold spring and boom heat and humidity. I do enjoy the cooler temps before we have to turn the heat on. But actually fall is my least favorite season. Yes the colors I suppose are gorgeous if you like fall colors. But they don't last long. Everything soon looks dead and brown and grey and the day's become shorter. Should I say that all the darkness really affects my mood. Yep I always look forward to the first snow fall, not because I like driving in it. But because it covers up the ugly and brightens everything up. My favorite season is SPRING!! Just love all the trees and flowers blooming. All the baby creatures hatching and being born. But I do like chili, in fact had some yesterday! Hugs and love to all, Michele

All I can say is that Winter is presenting herself in the upper mountains that surround us. All is white around 6K feet and above!! Beautiful in Montana! :)

My youngest son moved to co. springs. His wife and my youngest grand daughter will join him the first week in Oct. I hate that they will be that far away, but I do love Colorado. Kinda bitter/sweet. I will just have to take several long trips to see them I guess.
