I couldn't help but sit on the deck with a big fat smile on my face the other day while listening to a group of girls (apparently having a slumber party/birthday party). I couldn't see them, but they were probably around 8-9 years old. They were so happy, singing, jumping on a trampoline . . just living their "blissful" moments.
How I miss those moments of pure unadulterated "JOY"!! Yet, realized I was experiencing just that while listening to the little humans. I also have those moments while watching birds and listening to them chirp, chirp and chase each other. I have those moments when I look into my dogs eyes and see pure love. I have those moments when I look at a natural rock formation, a mountain or hug a tree. I have those moments when one of my difficult, yet fave recipes comes out "perfect"! I could go on and on . . the point? All of these wonderful things surround us each and every day . . we don't have to pay for it, we don't even have to go far or put out much effort to recognize the subtle beauty that abounds in our world!! :)
Thanks Michele for the Friday Off-Topic! Love it . . I'm left feeling a deep sense of gratitude and smiling!! Round of Hugs, D

When I took Timber - my 11 month old lab to the dog park today to play fetch she was so excited to jump in the air and catch a silly ball and your post to remember the little things jumped right into my mind .... Nature and our fluffy critters really are in the moment experiences of beauty and pure joy and staying present in the moments of life are so important to living again with joy and purpose.....
