Garbage in Garbage out...mostly out

I have been trying to clean the house little by little...I can't believe how badly I've let it go to shit over the past 6 months...I took out several bags of garbage yesterday, and I will have a bunch more ready to go tonight. I don't know where it's all coming from...and it's completely overwhelming...but if I don't do something,this place will look like one of those houses on Hoarders..I have run out of large bags for now, but have several plastic Safeway and Walmart bags that will do..I think I'll start on the fridge tomorrow, and maybe the laundry room if I'm not too tired..
I have never been a great housekeeper...but since my husband died, I guess I just gave up...instead of cleaning, I have gotten into the habit of saying 'fuck it', rolling a joint and playing video games until 5am...what a life...

Ok Wendi, where did you find your gumption? Mine left long before my husband passed. I too could nearly be on hoarders. lol. I am a terrible procrastinator. I will get it done though. So glad you are finding the energy to do this. You go girl. I need to get off my butt and get this crap in my house organized and back to living conditions. I will, I will, I will. Well done Wendi. Isn't it strange how all of our ambition leaves us when there isn't anyone there to appreciate our efforts? Even now at 17 months, I still do things in "spurts". Hugs, Darlene

Yup . . . I totally understand . . with exception that I used to be a "control freak" . . almost to the point of being Obsessive Compulsive. Not sure what happened to me, but quite frankly I don't give a damn if everything is in it's proper place or not. LOL I think this is one of the good things that has happened on my journey. I'm a lot less anal and realize that it just doesn't matter. I've learned to appreciate the "moments".

Wendi . . as for playing video games . . whatever it took to carry you through the previous dark days. No judgment and keep it simple. However, I am very proud of you that you are coming back to the world of the living and wanting your environment to be a bit more organized and clean.
