If I am getting all of the nutrients and vitamins as outlined in the diet, can I still eat more on top of that? The idea of the diet is not for weight loss, but to fill your body with good nutrition. I would have an easier time with the diet if I could still have a snack or something else to go along with it.
I know everthing would have to be done within reason, but I feel i need more food than I could intake with salads, a little meat, etc.

Yeah that was my feeling too. I believe you can have nuts, seeds, coconut etc. I just can't eat salad for breakfast but that is why we have pancakes with nuts, coconut milk, flax seed meal & (recipe in other post). I have muffins too and eat hummus (beans). We eat healthy but not 3 salads a day. Sorry I am not more help.

Wow, I can't imagine getting in the 9 cups of plant matter in a day, let alone thinking about other stuff! But yes, I think you can have other stuff (if you have any room left in you that is!)

I can't imagine following this diet to a T either. I have a problem with the "organ meat". Even organic would carry a lot of toxins that accumulate in today's society. I like vegetables much better. So i probably am not cut out for this diet. But the principles are sound. I think that avoiding sweets is important. But i am not good at that. I did it a few months back and dropped 12 lbs. But I started back eating sweets and have put on 5 lbs back. But I am still down 7 lbs.

I have read that greens really do lessen inflammatory disease and MS is an inflammatory disease. It makes sense to eat more greens. But they are not in my breakfast.
