I have reached the point of no return to the closet. I told a couple of friends who thought I was out fully and mentioned this to other friends and the word is out.

This had made me feel very anxious but relieved at the same time. So far I have not had any problems, but I am kinda afraid of still water.

I still get spikes of depression and uneasiness, but these are less frequent and intense after I started coming out.

My boss needs to hear it from me so he is prepared in case an issue comes up.

I am not backing down no matter what. Don't care I lose the awesome job I have.

God, you know what my needs are. Please guide me through this in perfect presence, divine order and omnipotent power.

Big big hug to you (not in front of your boss yet, though).

Before talking directly to your boss: Could you find out if there's an anti-discrimination ordinance based on sexual orientation in your town? Just in case.

One thing is your boss knowing, it's another thing that you tell him directly and he can fire you. remember, at work people can't get fired based on hearsay and gossip. But people can get fired for information that is confirmed and first handed.

He told me to be sure before I come out. He gave me safe sex advice and told me that the company fully supports me. He said that I may have a partner and they did not mind that I had one from work, as long he did not woirk in the same department. They do not want me to say anything at work. They told me since we live in a small town and close minded to be careful. They mentioned that look up to me a lot. Thye just want me to be happy and not to get into trouble with people that are resentful to mt orientation. After that we spent the whole day together... lunch, concert, dinner, etc.
